About Bully Free TV founder, Jonathan Novack

 

As far back as first grade I remember facing bullies. I also remember my parents' surprise finding out I had been bullied for years - that revelation for them came soon before I graduated high school. I wish I had someone to tell me bullying was not all right; that it was not acceptable or something that had to happen. I wish I'd known how to communicate to my parents about it, and how to help out when I saw it happening to others. Bully Free TV is my way of helping kids who are going through those same difficult experiences, and to help prevent other kids from ever having to face those experiences.

 

A little about my professional background: I'm an accomplished TV host, AMS-sealed meteorologist, and news reporter who has worked across the country.  With 23 years of on-air experience, I've covered the red carpet, forecast every type of weather, and been live for breaking news. I currently work as a meteorologist for FOX 11 in Los Angeles. Before that, I was a host for Tennis Channel's "Court Report", as well as the weekend evening weather anchor for KABC-TV in L.A. and a red carpet reporter for ABC's syndicated show "On The Red Carpet".

 

I also founded a TV hosting and reporting class called "Break Into TV" in Los Angeles, and in 2012 co-founded the production company Karakter Entertainment, where I produced and hosted the reality show "Love Song: Los Angeles". 

 

I began working in production at New England Cable News in 1997 and I landed my first on-air TV job in 2001 doing weather and reporting in Lubbock, TX.  I soon jumped to the FOX affiliate in Miami, a top 20 market, where I covered the record 2005 hurricane season and sharpened my teeth covering the red carpets of South Beach. At 27 years old, I became the weekend meteorologist and feature reporter at the NBC station in Houston, TX - a top 10 market. 

 

I am overjoyed to now use my television experience to help kids learn how to handle bullying and cyber-bullying and become great on-camera talents in the process!
